I bought my PS3 for this game, and it's the only game I play (although sometimes I think about defecting to Call of Duty)I can't wait for MAG. This game has so many little flaws that it makes the experience really annoying sometimes.For example, it is impossible to shoot over some railings on buildings.Instead of having the higher ground advantage, you're a sitting duck to guys on the ground.Sounds like nothing, right. Zipper I miss you. You'll be pulling your hair out in no time when you discover that it gets worse. I love socom 2 and this should've just updated the graphics and added new maps without changing much else.I could go on and on about what's wrong with this game, but I'm sure dozens of guys have full reviews here.Still, I think this is the most fun you can have with a 3rd person next gen shooter. The game is ok but not everyone can get online.I thought the game would be like the rest of the series playing and get the feel of the controls and doing some missions before you get online.Now the graphics and sound and movement is great and the online play is ok but i,m sorry i have better games on my PSP fireteam bravo 2 than my PS3.If the game was like fireteam bravo 2 but on the PS3 then i can say more people would like it to better their skills and have fun.I am glad that hackers can,t use codes to cheat and do some of the things they do on fireteam bravo 2 online.Overall it is a nice game but it could be better.
Most of the bugs have been ironed out and gameplay is basically solid. The game has changed for the better. While it is not yet the perfect SOCOM game it has improved dramatically over the release. If you were scared away by all the poor reviews at launch, don't worry about those issues as most things meaningful are fixed or are set to be fixed with the latest patch. A solid 8/10 game.
Should've done that this time. Can be glitchy, and at times jumpy. Safe to say I never take anyones word for it. I find myself to be quite the optimist when it comes to video games. Nothing more. Also experienced many problems with the online play.
But that hardly makes this game worth it's weight in gold.
Everyone I spoke to about this game claimed that it lacked in many areas, but added headset made the game almost worth buying.
The game lacks an aiming mechanism except for a little dot.
Many a times have I been failed by the critiques of peers and friends.
Grenades going off 2 levels above you can somehow slay you, and this games attempt at making the damage of bullets as realistic as possible turns it into somewhat of a spray and pray, run and gun game.
The levels at which you can custimize your characters is somewhat entertaining, but falls short of impressives.
The levels are well detailed and beautifully rendered, though.
I'd rent this.
Unless I needed a headset (which works well by the way).
La calidad visual posee mucho detalle y no ralentiza el rendimiento del ps3. En este juego ahi que poner la cabeza a pensar antes que disparar. Me gusto mucho porque el trabajo en equipo se siente para aquellos que realmente juegan tactico, la atmosfera de asechar y ser asechado te mantiene en total alerta. Yo me compre socom(bundle) por el headset y al final termino gustandome. Buen juego
